Victoria Cassidy studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1983-87, a time when figurative art in Scotland was enjoying a resurgence. She combines her love of Islamic pattern making and Japanese prints with the use of figurative elements and text to produce her delicate, multi-layered, mixed media paintings.
